CITY OF HILLS 1995

Streets are not level.
Cities have their contours, sometimes stretching over many hills.
This is a program for taking advantage of the hills to create a pleasant town.

Just as a de nition was needed for the criteria of a "nice street" for the "generated city blocks," here too, we need a de nition of a "good hill."

We created an evaluation program by setting up a formula for conditions as parameters for slope and length as well as rhythm.
The generated program is incomplete, so the evaluation program is used to judge the randomly generated contours of the city one after another.
Can such a city surpass the hilly city of Onomichi ?
